Profile Picture: Barry Wilson, Executive Director of the Poudre River Trail Corridor, Inc.

Barry Wilson joined the Poudre River Trail Corridor in 2023 as the Executive Director. He is an Iowa State University graduate and holds an MBA. Barry had a 20-year career at Hewlett-Packard and was a small business owner in Windsor prior to joining the Poudre River Trail organization. He is passionate about parks, trails, and open space and is excited about connecting Greeley & Windsor to Timnath & Fort Collins (under I-25) as well as completing the final 5-miles of the trail from the east edge of Greeley (under HW-85) to the confluence (where the Cache la Poudre River merges into the South Platte River).

Barry and his wife, Lei Ann, live along the Poudre River Trail and explore it often on their bikes and with their goldendoodle, Ace. Their three kids grew up along the trail. Reece is an Iowa State graduate and Lindsey & Parker are currently students at Iowa State. GO CYCLONES!!! Barry served on the Windsor Town Board for 6-years including 2-years as Mayor Pro Tem. He was elected as the Mayor of Windsor in April of 2024 only to have the election annulled by a Weld County District Judge. After the initial shock of being removed from office at no fault of his own, Barry is enjoying his new-found free time with family and friends as well as spending more time biking the Poudre River Trail. He looks forward to seeing you on the trail soon!
